Does anyone have any idea how to capture the torch relay footage from the BBC website? I expected get-iplayer to do the job but it can't find the stream if I just paste the URL in.
Specific example: http://www.bbc.co.uk/torchrelay/day46 (Afternoon section)

Hi,
I've had no joy either. get-iplayer didn't work for me either. Flash-got on Firefox could download "chunks" with "flash-got media", but the chunks wouldn't play in my movie player.
It's just flash so I'm sure someone can work out how to do it!
I'm interested to so please tell if you find a solution.
Steve

I've asked on the get-iplayer list (I've just downloaded the latest version and failed with that as well, previously I'd just tried my distro's version).

Hmm, two methods down - any one else with other suggestions?

If the get-iplayer list does not come up trumps, the stream-recorder.com forums have quite a bit of expertise in this area, if you can get over the sometimes hostile atmosphere to newbies.
Apparently what I was trying to do on Saturday was right, so I obviously did something wrong along the way. Anyway, the answer is here: http://lists.infradead.org/pipermail/get_iplayer/2012-July/003163.html
Summary: Click "link to this video" to get the URL, and from it retrieve the pid, then: get_iplayer --pid p00symr7
(or get-iplayer for my distro-installed version).

Genius!
Thanks Mark.
