Hi Folks,
Machine: Advent 8117 laptop
Problem: While lifting up the keyboard to access the second RAM slot to install more RAM, I accidentally popped off two of the keys (adjacent).
They are: (a) "Prt Sc"/"SysRq" (b) "Pause"/"Break"
I'm not anticipating problems popping them back on again, but I can't remember which way round they should go!
The top row of keys is:
Esc F1 F2 F3 ... F11 F12 XXX YYY NumLock ScrollLock
and one of XXX or YYY is (a) above, the other is (b).
Does anyone know which way round it should be?
With thanks, Ted.

Usually it goes Prt Sc then Scroll Lock then Pause/Break, so it being a laptop it probably just goes Prt Sc, Pause.
I can't find a decent picture of the laptop at the moment though :)
Cheers,

Wow, is that the most un-photographed computer on the entire internet? Only picture I found was on eBay:

and even that I'm not completely sure is that right one. eBay item number 310076702352. (Can you make decent URLs to eBay items? Dunno. You can Google eBay item numbers, though.)

It's even worse than that: In the "User's Manual" on the CD that comes with the machine, not only do the diagrams of the keyboard not show the markings -- the manual itself is not for the same model! (As I confirmed when comparing its diagram of the internals with what I found when I opened it up)!
However, the photo of a keyboard whose URL you give below is almost certainly correct: the layout is identical to what is left of my own keyboard, and the markings on the keys are exactly the same. So I'll take that as definitive. Many thanks! Good digging, that!
Ted.
PS Niggles like this apart, it's actually a pretty decent machine, and was a bargain at just under £300 at a Currys sale a year ago (1.73GHz Intel Core Duo, 1GB RAM, 160GB HDD, plus the usual tentacles)

Pop them back on, you've got a 50/50 chance of it being the correct way. Then press print screen and see if it prints the screen.. If not, you've got it wrong and just pop them off and swap 'em over...? Laptop keys are fiddly little things though :/

Agreeing there with what Simon said, 50/50 chance really. But I am pretty sure it would be Print Screen and then Pause/Break.
