I've always found the comp.os.linux.* groups to be okay - but I do see what you mean by them being a bit hostile. Personally I would just like to see this list used for discussing ALUG matters. Perhaps it might be worth setting up another list called alug-qa@stu.uea.ac.uk for discussing any Linux problems? M. On the contrary, I have found them quite helpful. Though they do have a tendency to wander off topic. While I am on-line, does anyone have a program to read, or even a definitive statement of the format of, Colorado backup tapes (made with Colorado backup for DOS)? ---------------------------------- 2 + 2 = 5 (for large values of 2) Raphael Mankin E-Mail: raph@panache.demon.co.uk ---------------------------------- [ This email came to you via the Anglian Linux User Group list ] [ If you only wish to recieve event announcements, email the ] [ SUBJECT of "unsubscribe" to this list and "subscribe" to ] [ alug-announce@stu.uea.ac.uk -- We do need your support, tho' ]

ucol is no worse than demon.* <g> ;-) And you are much better off asking questions in a public forum as more people are there to help than could possible be so on the list. -- James Green http://www.cyberstorm.demon.co.uk [ This email came to you via the Anglian Linux User Group list ] [ If you only wish to recieve event announcements, email the ] [ SUBJECT of "unsubscribe" to this list and "subscribe" to ] [ alug-announce@stu.uea.ac.uk -- We do need your support, tho' ]
