That's put paid to that flurry of activity; one of our routers has just been replaced and now i can't ping/telnet or traceroute outside the network from win or linbox. (!N). Funny how the web and external email are still working. Outside my jurisdiction though. Thanks for help, though - pennies are slowly dropping. Ta for the info on the packages thing, as well, Mark.
