JOB: Permanent Stats Programmer LOCATION: London, England, UK
Hi List,
I'm working with a business in London that are looking to hire a permanent programmer with experience of working on developing either mathematical or numerical programs. You need to have experience of both scripting (R would be very applicable!) and also compiled languages. Experience of using MySQL or similar would be preferential too.
Please email me using james@camalyn.org if you have any questions or if you would like to discuss this opportunity further.
Thanks, JAMES

This is at least the second LUG list I've seen JAMES email about this London JOB from his recruitment agency. The ALUG FAQ says:-
"Employment agencies are strictly out as we've not seen one that posts useful stuff yet, you also may find that you will get a better response if you try listing at
* http://mailman.lug.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/linuxjobs "
jt@camalyn has posted to linuxjobs before, so clearly this isn't news, but is hawking the job around LUG lists before posting to linuxjobs.
So, if you thought the job sounded interesting, ask yourself what sort of inconsiderate ill-behaved agency you have to deal with to get it!
Regards,

Yeah, I've had personal emails from this guy before. He's quite persistent, claiming that he'd tried to get in touch with me before. And very picky about describing himself as a "consultant/head hunter", rather than recruitment agent. Though he is a real person (as opposed to a bot or a faceless corporation) and actually replies to emails.
