Hi I installed Suse 9.3 last night, now using Konqueror, with about every other change of website, I get "An error occurred while loading http://news.bbc.co.uk/: Unknown host news.bbc.co.uk" or similar, Firefox is O.K. Also when checking mail I get "unknown host pop.freeserve.co.uk" about every other try, have been using Suse since 7.0, and never had this sort of trouble Firewall is set to "default", connection is dialup
BTW if you want mp3 support other than in Real Player you have to download the 4 extra multimedia packs from YOU Regards -Nick Daniels

Could this be a DNS problem?

It was the case (before the Novell takeover) that you could copy and distribute it provided you made no charge. SuSE actually supported this within LUG's and if asked will provide copies for this purpose FOC.
Not sure if they have changed the license. I suggest a mail to SuSE would clear things up.
Actually their support seems to have become super proactive recently. I downloaded a copy of Novell Linux Desktop Eval a few weeks ago to play with it.
Yesterday Novell support actually phoned me to see if I was having any installation issues ! (take note this was in no way a sales call and purchase wasn't even talked about) Just some guy calling to ask if it installed ok, if so what was I installing it on (VMware in my case) was there anything I wanted help to get working, etc etc
The whole call was done in a very unintrusive manner by a mega polite guy who ended up giving me a direct number in case I ran into anything during the evaluation period.

Thanks Craig I am installing this for my nephew who bought it. He says it is O.K to give away, but will contact Suse. I have a friend who will make one copy (I do not have a dual layer copier) Online update lastnight, mail problem appears to be cured, I think the Konqueror problem of not loading websites is sites without WWW ie Slashdot, BBC, also irrespective of the size I set fonts on Ebay the items are "overlapped" , some items have there text on top of the other items text, he likes Konqueror because with bad eyesight the "magnify" and search are handy, anyway it should work.
