The link 'Overview of all lists etc on the ALUG website is 404
(I was trying to navigate to a list for a new (Welshish) Ubantu user.)

Indeed. It should go to http://lists.alug.org.uk/mailman/listinfo but there aren't many.
Can someone reading this fix the broken link, please? Can it be done from the list admin, or does it need the mailman-admin to act?
Thanks,

The link on the front of www.alug.org.uk works for me. If someone actually indicates which page has the broken link on it that would be quite helpful and more likely to result in it being fixed.

This link "http://lists.alug.org.uk/cgi-bin/mailman/admin" on this page "http://lists.alug.org.uk/mailman/listinfo"
is faulty.

The text file for RFC 854 contains exactly 854 lines. Do you think there is any cosmic significance in this?

Ah, no wonder I couldn't find it again.
