Would BigJohn, Dave, rdc_louisd, xeno42, piemaster or Bitch care to reveal themselves, perchance? ;)
If people added web addresses to this list, I could link something to the "Members" link on the front page of the site. Just as soon as the site sorts its DNS out, that is. www.alug.org.uk and www.anglian.lug.org.uk currently disagree.

OK then:
Jo Mitchell - futurshox - http://futurshox.net
Which web address for alug is the proper one to use, then, once the DNS is sorted? I didn't realise it was changing.

All,
there are just 3 days left now till sunday.
I am pleased that a number of you have emailed me to say you are coming and I look forward to seeing you all on sunday.
The final details which haven't really been mentioned yet are the times.
It has been discussed to meat in the "back bar" of the union at UEA at 1pm, we can all have a good drink before the victims ^h^h^h^h^h^h^h guests arrive. Do they do food as well?
We hope to rap up the procedings at 6:30.
Thanks
D

The thought occurs to me that there maybe ought to be some way of recognising ALUG members in the throng of would-be Linux users that will be filling the bar on Sunday.
If you're not all ROFLing at the idea of needing identification amongst these teeming hordes, may I offer the services of my printer and a handy packet of labels?
If David sends me a list of who is coming, I can print some name tags and embarrass you all :)
Unless, of course, there are any wild objections?!

I think this is a very good idea (altough I could just wear my BOFH T-shirt).

I doubt this would be an issue:o)

I think its best if people send there names to you as I don't have a list to hand ATM.
Unless, of course, there are any wild objections?!

We can hope! Failing the teeming hordes, there's always the bar :)

I think I might just print plain ALUG stickers, then people can take them if they want and write their names on by hand.

That would mean using and interfacing with very old fashioned technology though, surely it would be more fun to spend around 4 hours doing it on computer and arguing about fonts, style size etc. surely this would be far more productive?
;-)
(yeah a designer has just decided that our templates need updating at work, and we are going to be using a new font BAH humbug!)
Hi All
I'd like to get hold of a cheap second hand serial terminal to be able to use my linux box from another room in the house. Does anybody on the list have one that is surplus to their requirements?
Many thanks
