Hi
I have an interesting problem that I wondered if people could help with.
I am running Debian testing and kde and konqueror has developed an odd problem, when you open it up to do file management, it will display the contents of a directory, but if you click on a directory it says it doesn't no what to do and what would you like to open the file using.
So I have had a look at the file associations and it doesn't have any applications in the file associations. If I add a simple konqueror it recursively opens konqueror windows but shows no files in these windows.
Any and all suggestions welcome.

Quick thing off the top of my head. Do you have an index.html file in the root of the directory you're clicking on? If you've lost your HTML file associations, Konqueror will still assume you have a website in there - which it would previously have displayed with KHTML. You either need to remove that file, tell Konqueror to not assume that index.html is the root of a website (not sure how to do this), or re-enable the file associations.
May not be the problem but my mother had this issue on her machine which I fixed by renaming the file to new-index.html

Well, under File Associations > Inode > Directory I have Konqueror as the application, but the command is: kfmclient openURL %u inode/directory

Thanks to everyone they helped sort it, rather pointlessly as it turned out as my hard disk belched this morning and made some very nasty noises.
So one new hard drive later I have had to reinstall debian but it all seems fine.
