I'm not sure if this is the appropriate list or should go on the social list, sorry if it's wrong.
At work we've recently been in contact with a company in Dereham that does promotional logos on sweatshirts etc. Just out of curiosity I asked how much they would charge to put Tux and the words "ALUG Anglian Linux User Group"** on a garment.
Assuming no copyright restrictions in using Tux, for embroidered artwork, they quoted £14 for poloshirts and £15 for sweatshirts with a minimum order of 10 garments, mixture's are possible (e.g. sizes and polo/s + sweat/s).
Any interest?

** I suppose that should really be AGLUG - Anglian GNU/Linux User Group!! :o)
...also, if we order more that 10 the price starts to drop slightly. Not a lot, 50p or so.

No, see http://www.isc.tamu.edu/~lewing/linux/

I'm interested in a sweatshirt (although this probably isn't the time to be buying them).

I occasionally suggest things like that. How about it? I'd avoid /ing the two and just say "GNU and Linux" so that we don't get obsoleted, whatever happens.

OK, anyone else who's interested please reply to me directly, to save cluttering up the list, at kpwatson@luna.co.uk.
Oh, by the way, the company in question is Studio 69 http://www.studio69.co.uk/

I was waiting for someone to say "AGLUG? I'll drink to that!" :oD
Given the apparent tradition of retiring to a local hostelry immediately after each meeting I suppose it would be appropriate.

No tis a silly idea, cos when we are all using GNU/HURD (RSN) we will have to change the name yet again to AGHUG and the other reason being we would need to register another domain and things like that.
I say keep the name, just to avoid confusion. Or we could call ourselves something like Tuesday or Valvic ;)

Well, Hurd is part of GNU, so you don't *have* to put that bit in if you don't want to. It's only really there to differentiate from using GNU on top of the Linux kernel. That's why I said not to / the two.
