After a few minutes the (newish) netbook goes to sleep as it ought. However, when watching a video or listening to a CD (or, I presume, installing something?) the system snoozes, which is a pain. The system I'm using is the latest stable Mint put on last meeting at the Waggon and Horses.
I have looked in various (IMO) likely places, but I can't find any way of disabling sleep for specific applications.
Any ideas, gang? Pretty please?

install caffeine
|sudo add-apt-repository ppa:caffeine-developers/ppa| |sudo apt-get update ||sudo apt-get install caffeine python-glade2|
those should do it.

Ta much. Will apply ASAP - while my dongle works on this netbook, it's only on GPRS here, so I'm still relying on wifi in Norwich. Had to resort to the power switch and to reboot to get this to work. I shall be asking (more) questions at the Coach an Dorses...
See some of you there.
