I've moved from Bootmagic to GRUB and found it excellent. Can recommend it.
Loads of howto's around on the web on how to set it up and a 5 second google turns up loads.

Thanks - Gertrude boots into debian (usually) though it depends which OS is in the caddy: she's a fickle lass. I shall have a grub around. I expect it'll be on one of the CDs.
