I used to be the Regional Secretary of a voluntary body, and had occasion to organise a group meeting in Cambridge. I had it pointed out to me after the meeting that parking in Cambridge is an extremely difficult exercise. My wife pointed out to me when I failed to grasp this point, that while we could park very near to where we were going, having an `Orange Badge' meant that we were parking for 6 hours,at no cost in an `on road space' where others were having to pay £3.00 an hour. Parking in Cambridge is more than a nightmare, once you have managed to get into the city and park the fun has only just begun! When you want to leave the one way system will force you into circling the city several times until you build up enough energy to escape the citys pull! (Douglas Adams also wrote something similar in Dirk Gentlys holistic detective agency) Anyway I will give it a go contacting the Cambridge lug people, I was under the impression that they were a dead group though but after looking at their site I am proved wrong.
