Come on Guys,
Some-one asks for help with a reasonable charitable do, some of you immediately clog the ether with complaints! A gentle reminder to the transgressor (of which there is at least one in my inbox) is sufficient. No need to get carried away with a running argument - life's too short!

*Whisper* it'd all gone quiet since then! And the list should, as far as possible, stick to what it's designed for - help with your Free operating system, with some value added bonus advice for integrating windows in to your home network sometimes, and the occasional social/kit meet. I hadn't replied to the message until *after* 3 different people had uttered words about it on the IRC channel, and then I politely said that it belonged more to the social list than this list.
On a different note - It's nearly Sunday - who's going to be at the Kit Meet in the middle of Nowhere (or Syleham, as it's otherwise known :)? Note that if it rains very heavily, it's fun driving round the roads to get there - expect puddles! I don't think I've ever been to a Syleham meeting where it hasn't rained!
From IRC this morning it looks like <person ircnick="Joeboy" /> is
planning on maybe doing an Ardour demo, so it could turn out to be an interesting meeting!
John, you've sorted access to the bar, right? *grin*
I suggest that anyone that wants to eat brings sandwiches with them, though if the bars open, there'll probably be crisps and nuts available (then again, the hall will be full of nuts... or is that nutters, I can never remember!).
There was something else that I was going to put here... hmm... brain melted... lets think...
Ohhhh! Jenny, don't forget the biscuits!
Cheers, Brett

I should be there, finishing some urgent site work for a client this weekend but I am pretty sure I'll make it (although I may be a little late)
Hopefully I will be bringing my machine so that those that want to can have a little play with the xgl/compiz desktop.
