I know it sounds daft but as we're generally talking about freeware do you think someone could organise a weekend expo somewhere? My company wont give me time off for a Linux expo and holidays are hard to come by. I'd certainly think about paying at the door if that would help.

There is talk about a Free Software expo in the spring, possibly in Manchester, but I don't think that project has got off the ground yet and time is marching on. If you can help, wade into the fsfe-uk (linked from www.affs.org.uk) mailing list and try to kick-start people. I'm up to my eyeballs with financial stuff :-/
