I think this is one of the reasons I hate crackberry.
For me having a full and complete state sync of email on my phone is
important. So if I read an email on the phone I want it marked as read
on the desktop mail client. If I respond I want the response in Sent
items on the desktop client and certainly if I delete a mail I want it
deleted on the desktop.
This way I know I only need to look in one (either) place to get a full
and complete picture of what emails I have dealt with and how I
responded to them.
I guess to get around the 3rd party password problem I'd have to run a
local BES and last time I looked at that it looked pretty evil and
overcomplicated.
I have found an alternative to BES - funambol. I haven't yet installed it for
this customer, but I've heard good things about it.
