Hi all,
For those in or around Chelmsford tonight there's a few of us going along to The Plough (adjacent to the railway station) - I'll be there from 6pm.
All welcome. I'm going to pop into the APU uni too - see if they've got places I could put up posters to generate some interest - I'm sure there'll be some!
See you there....
Steve
You could also try having the LUGE details published in "Linux Format", and any other 'hard copy' publications that give publicity to LUG's and there is also http://www.lug.org.uk/ which may be able to give assistance and publicity.

Cheers for that - I had planned to do this so will pull my finger out and get it done.
As it goes, me + Chris had a great meeting! ;) Also forgot all students are on hols now but put some posters up at the uni anyway.
For those interested, we discussed: - why Sun should open source Java (that old chestnut) - SME server from contribs.org - my mouse driver sending two clicks instead of one sometimes (PackardHell) - IBM's love of Linux - phoenix from the flames style - how disgusting the percentage of our taxes which must go straight to a software company instead of building value by adopting open source and using software like OpenOffice - schooltool.org which I hadn't heard of before but sounds interesting
Look forward to seeing you again next month Chris, and anyone else who wants to come along! ;)
Steve
