Here is the official announcement of the next ALUG meeting (ALUG 2001.1) which will be at Syleham Village Hall, Syleham, Suffolk on Sunday 4th Feb 2001 2:00 - 6:00 pm.

The hall will cost us a tenner again, which is still pretty cheap, so contributions on the day will be most welcome.
Syleham and Wingfield Computer Club have said they will provide tea and coffee again which is nice of them.
If you're coming post to the list with any suggestions or assistance you need.
I'll post to relevant Usenet groups later any suggestions to which ones that are appropriate. I thought:

I'm intending to come and I can provide the following:
+ One or two PCs (one with CD burner) + One four port hub (only 10Mbit unfortunately). + A few network cables. + Laser printer.
The map available for the venue on the website gives me a broken image icon. As I haven't been before fixing that would be a great help.
Does anyone knw if it is possible to get on the net from the venue?

SWCC has modem access via Freeserve but the line is pretty cruddy and we rarely get better than 33.6k but it's OK for mail, IRC etc.

I will try and be there (hopefully I won't get as lost as last time) anyway If I go I will be coming from Cambridge and would be able to give a lift for up to three people. (my availability at the moment is sometimes tricky though, as you may of noticed the lack of me on IRC)
