Hi Has anybody had any trouble with the Cdplayers on Suse 8.2, Two computers, boards Jetway 830ch, Gigabyte GA7A, both Xp1800 Xmms O. K on MP3s, Line in , Mic in, O.K. Start music plays and Kmix adjusted. C.D. is shown as playing but no sound output Regards Nick

Just tried it on my Dell Inspiron 5000. Clicked the DVD icon and kscd opened. Clicked the Play button and music came out the speakers. I don't remember ever diddling with kmix.

Is the audio out lead from you CDROM connected in to your soundcard? Or are you using digital CD reading?

Many thanks all Problem was data lead, forgot about that, the computers are from windows users who wish to convert to Linux totally , had five! this week, which I I am quite happy to convert!
