Gnome icon preview of photos not always working

Try going System > Preferences > File Management then click the preview tab. I'm guessing that the default preview file size is for files smaller than 4 megs (or similar) and your camera is producing files around the 4 megs size some bigger and some larger so they aren't being previewed. Aye, that's it! I hadn't even thought of looking for a preference like that, and I didn't notice some of the images from my 6 megapixel camera were less than 4MB! Cheers, Tim.
