Well.... being fairly Norwich bound, I suggest Norwich somewhere.

I guess I should speak up on this one now. We can probably hold another meeting at Union House, UEA, but not before next term (building and refurbishment works, etc, make getting a room a bit tricky), which would be good for getting more people there.
So, anyone able to host a non-Norwich meeting in the next month?

I probably can, depending on date. We're in wedding season now, and time is tight. If I can, I'm happy to host.
Cheers, Laurie.
PS. Apologies for my quietness lately, mega-busy, and abroad a lot.

I'm happy to go back to Laurie's hotel for the next meeting.
I can still taste that exquisite beer!
Cheers,
BJ

Hi Peeps,
Anyone know where I can get a full copy of Redhat 6, but with out the books or support crap cheaply? A friend of mine said it was possable for under £10, just can't remember from where.
I would download it, but 700ish megs over a 56k modem would just be plain silly :-)
Many Thanks

http://www.linuxemporium.co.uk/ do cheap CD's at £2 each. Have dealt with them before and they are extremely quick and efficient at getting stuff out. Highly recommend them.
Regards,
Martyn

I'll echo that. John Winter's bloody good.
As an aside, personally I prefer SuSE Linux (http://www.suse.de), and 6.2 is due out in a few days...
Cheers, Laurie.

Yeah cost on metered calls is prohibitive. You can get a copy for about 2 quid from The Linux Emporium http://www.polo.demon.co.uk/emporium.html or I could burn you one for the cost of the media (a pint at the next meet is the going rate) if you mail me your address of list I'll post you one.
Cheers,
BJ
