Hi, I want to mount a DVD video in Linux but the disc is not recognised as UDF or ISO format. A DVD-ROM from PC Format mounts in ISO format but the Hitch Hiker DVD will not mount on the video side or the ROM side. Thanks in advance.

Is your /etc/fstab entry for the DVD drive set to 'auto' filesystem or have you specified UDF/ISO in it?
My fstab is set to auto and I haven't a problem yet with DVD's with both video and data on (I'm assuming that's what HHGTTG is from your message)

I have tried this it does not work, ARM Linux asks for a fs to be given. I am using 2.4.16 debian potato. Using a SCSI drive (/dev/sr0).

hmm my fstab has iso9660 in it, and it'll mount them (I think, my DVD drive snuffed it a month or two back). Sure its not a dud disk? will Xine play it?
