Hi , im a newbie to Linux and i heard you could run windows appz in Linux by using a Piece of software called Wine,
I not sure if already have it on Redhat 7.2 so if any one could tell me where to find it i would be very greatful
and if some one could give me information on how to install software then would be great too, Everytime i install RPM files i get a failed message so maybe im downloading the wrong drivers or wrong kernal verison,im new to linux so i dont know much about installing software,
i know alittle about the Rpm -i command and thats all i know so any help to the above questions would be a bouns.
Thanks

If "appz" are applications, then, yes, you can try www.winehq.com but you are better using a GNU/Linux application when one exists, I think.

There are multiple incompatible versions of RPM. Your best bet is to find the rpmfind.net match for your system. You probably ought to read some fine manuals, too, such as those at http://www.linuxdoc.org/ -- maybe heavy going at first, but worth it.

How about using your actual name and mentioning why you are asking ALUG? Why not try a better email service than MS Hotmail?
