Has anyone got any ideas of how to print four copies of a single image on a 4" x 6" piece of paper?
I guess one way would be to put them into an Open Office document to position them but it seems a bit overkill for such a simple thing.

Try the "montage" program in the ImageMagick suite (and study the options ... ). Ted.

I should have guessed that some part of ImageMagick can do it, thanks for the pointer. Once set up I can store it as a shell script and it's there for posterity (or something like that!).

I presume that the Gimp has similar functions (largely) to PSP or Photoshop...
Ascertain size of photo with border.
Create new blank image twice the size (linearly).
Using the clone tool, transfer your original image (4 times) to the new image.
Save and print on suitable paper.
That's how I do it - with Paintshop Pro
