Hey there, I've been following the list since its inception, in the background. I think its time I got involved, see if I can help at all. There's a couple of us at the Electroacoustic Music studios at UEA trying to run Linux boxes for synthesis and composition (nightmare). I run RedHat 6.0, and am about to try to install debian m68k on a mac powerbook 165c (THE nightmare). Willing to help organize meetings at UEA or elsewhere, although I have 0 strings to pull. If anyone is interested in jMax (IRCAM) or any other port for SG music software, get in touch. Glad to be in ALUG, finally.... Well.... being fairly Norwich bound, I suggest Norwich somewhere.
I guess I should speak up on this one now. We can probably hold another meeting at Union House, UEA, but not before next term (building and refurbishment works, etc, make getting a room a bit tricky), which would be good for getting more people there.
So, anyone able to host a non-Norwich meeting in the next month?
