I have oo 2 (as shipped with SuSE 10) installed on my AMD 64 box (also SuSE 10). I keep my important files on a server, that is mounted using NFS. However, OO crashes whenever I try to access these files. If I copy the files to my local hard disk, they work fine. OO is the only app that seems to have a problem - I can access files for attachment in KMail, accounting files in GnuCash and text files in Kate, vi etc. Has anyone else come across this problem? Both of these threads may be of interest..Hope that points you in the right direction. http://qa.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=54999 http://www.oooforum.org/forum/viewtopic.phtml?t=24031 I have just tried to repeat it with OpenOffice2 Writer as installed on Ubuntu Breezy and I am unable to repeat, nor can I repeat it with a ODS file via NFS in OOo2 Calc. It did at one point stall for a couple of seconds on the file selection dialogue when I was choosing a file on my NFS volume...That said my NFS server is a slow old thing so it may have been that. My version is 1.9.129
