A couple of simple questions about mozilla (I'm running version 1.4 at the moment):- Is there a list of the 'about:*' things that you can enter as URLs anywhere? They are incredibly useful but I can't remember them. The only one I can remember is "about:plugins" Sort of follows on, where/how does mozilla decide what file type suffixes it recognises? My mozilla at work recognises .jfif files but my copy at home doesn't. I've searched Google for the above and I've looked at www.mozilla.org but haven't had much joy. -- Chris Green (chris@areti.co.uk)

For the unixy versions at least, mailcap is used as well as the filetypes preferences window. -- MJR/slef My Opinion Only and possibly not of any group I know. Lovely, that's one I'd used before and couldn't remember.

Aha, it may well be that there's something in my mailcap file at work that does useful things. I couldn't find any reference to this at all in the mozilla help. What do you mean by the "filetypes preferences window", I looked for something like that but couldn't find anything. -- Chris Green (chris@areti.co.uk)

Unless it moved, it's "Edit > Preferences... > Navigator > Helper Applications". I'm using Firebird, so it needs the "Things They Left Out" panel installed and then it's "More Options... > TTLO: MIME-Types". -- MJR/slef My Opinion Only and possibly not of any group I know. Apparently, the newly released Mozilla 1.6 has about:about, which lists them. It's clearly a frequently requested thing :) What I want is a document that describes exactly what everything in about:config does. -- Rob Kendrick, Pepperfish Ltd. +44 (0)845 226 4146 www.pepperfish.net PGP signed or encrypted mail welcome Key ID: 3651D17A
