Hi everybody
I am here in the John Innes Centre, Norwich. I have come here from Lucknow, India to research on plant viruses. I have been using Linux for about eight years now. All my installations were done from CD's which come with an Indian magazine called 'PC Quest' (www.pcquest.com). At work here I use Windows NT and at home it is Red Hat 6.2 running Gnome installed off a PC Quest CD on a Pentium 66 MHz with 24 Mb RAM. Believe me, it is very usable! Most of the time that I am on a machine I am playing with PERL scripts for manipulating / analysing nucleotide sequence data.
Hoping to hear some nice discussions on this list.
