RedHat have a thing called HAS - High Accessability Server which allows you to connect as many machines as you like together and they play as one! Apparently you can take out alll but one node without the system collapsing. Havent tried it yet but it sounds promising. Tom

There are general linux patches/software which do High Availability, it's not just redhat specific thing. A search on freshmeat will point people in the right direction.

Unfortunately, RedHat have decided to discontinue it. It doesn't appear to have been worked on for 2 years or more, judging by the timestamps on the ftp site. A quick scan through the manual suggests it shouldn't be too hard to update or rewrite it and make something similar. qdisc might be something else to combine and use with it.
