A kind soul has posted me some mdb files to look at. I've had a look at the "Most FAQ" on www.openoffice.org and it seems to suggest that I can use them from OpenOffice by loading them into Microsoft Access. Obviously, that's slower and fiddlier for me.
Do you know any other ways of getting useful information out of them?
Thanks,

mdbtools? http://mdbtools.sourceforge.net
Should be what you want, I think.

Thanks to Joe and Dave for suggesting this. 0.5 just segfaulted, but 0.6pre1 doesn't. mdb-schema generates some comments, then prints: -- relationships are not supported for access and then exits. Has anyone seen that before?

Seems to use mdbtools, so presumably will do the same.
Thanks again to the wonderful ALUGgers!
