Greetings all! I would be grateful if some people would try the following link:
http://www.uvm.edu/~ngotelli/EcoSim/EcoSim.html
I get the response:
Forbidden You don't have permission to access /~ngotelli/EcoSim/EcoSim.html on this server. Apache/2.2.3 (Red Hat) Server at www.uvm.edu Port 80
On the other hand, a collaborator of mine (who is accessing it from a Bristol University computer) gets straight through.
I'm wondering if it's due to academic institute versus private domain, or just due to some peculiarity of my Firefox (Iceweasel 2.0.0.19). One test, therefore, is whether other people, not on academic networks, can get through.
So reports of tests would be very welcome! With thanks, Ted.

Many thanks, Richard, Brett and Greg. At least the finger is now pointing at me, so where to look is narrowing down.
Best wishes to all, Ted.

Try a different browser (or wget or links/lynx on the command line) to take iceweasel out of the equation).

Works fine for me here (plusnet domestic DSL, just outside Ipswich, tested in Chromium and Firefox)

And thanks to David too!
Since (see previous mail) the finger was now pointing back to me, I went to another machine and entered the same URl, and got through with no problems. So it is something to do with the setup on one particular machine. Hmmm ... I wonder what that could be?
Best wishes to all, Ted.

If I were to make a stab in the dark, I'd suggest an HTTP header that is different between the two machines. Try a different browser on the failing machine, and if that works, try a quick wireshark trace to compare the two requests.
