All, So what kind of capacity does the meeting require? Does the venue require a connection to the outside world?
Is there a group defining group config before the event such as DHCP setup etc. to save time on the day.
Is there an agenda, other than fix web site?
What is the duration of the meeting?
A norwich or north norfolk meeting is good for me, does anyone else have a preference?
CNR.

Dang. This list is meant to bounce attachments. Sorry folks -- filters tweaked.

ALUG is alive and currently "stable, but improving". ALUG-IRC is held on Mondays at 2000 in OpenProjects Net (server eu.openprojects.net port 8001 #alug) and the most recent log (but not too interesting) is at http://www.cloaked.freeserve.co.uk/comp/alugirc2.html
In real life, ALUG-40 (aka "Brian", I think) was held last Sunday at Syleham and equalled the lowest-ever turnout. Fixing the website is seen as a priority, followed by putting together event publicity material for local noticeboards and computer shops.
The next ALUG meeting will be in about a month, probably 17th September, but venue is TBC (Pete?).
The mailing list is moderately quiet, but a steady stream of messages. MIME attachments are unwelcome, so please try to make sure to send plain-text only.
Anything I've forgotten?

Better than being "frozen", ah-ha-ha-ha. :)

I shall endeavour to make it next Monday.

Pitiful failure to turn up on my part :-(

Is this likely to be the Norwich end of the world this time?

Is a North Norfolk venue possible? ;-) UEA has major problems with late September, because of arrivals. I can't get a room on the 17th (all booked out to arrivals) or confirmation until quite late (w/b 11th) on anything we would want on the 24th.

Er. Adam? Have you moved to Cambridge now?
There's the community centre here in North Walsham; no idea what we'd need to do to get it, though. What are the prerequisites for a venue? Electricity and tables? Or is it more complex than that?
