Wasn't Sun Microsystems working with the InstallShield people to produce a Java verison of InstallShield? Probably something in the realm of JavaOS I would guess!! Talking about .deb packages, has anyone had any millage with 'alien' which converts between different package formats? I've never had need to use it, but it may prove useful to those worried about availability of .debs etc. Andi p.s. I know this is what you've all been waiting for ;-) I've just added an "unsubscribe" section to the ALUG email page, if you are struggling to keep up with the MASSIVE amounts of messages on the various ALUG lists! http://www.anglian.lug.org.uk/email.html As Brett mentioned, it would be useful to get an idea of who is going on Sunday, and if there's anything in particular you want to see. Let me know if you have any download requests etc, too. I will be bringing a few Debian CDs with me (trying to convince y'all to switch to a proper distribution ;-) so let me know in advance if you want a copy (I know I still owe someone a CD from last meeting). Raphael, The Linux Emporium (http://www.linuxemporium.co.uk/) sell cheap CD's. I've never bought from them so I don't know what they're like. Anyone? I usually buy things from the PC Bookshop (htttp://www.pcbooks.co.uk/) as they have a branch here in The City and they stock most Linux distributions including Caldera. I'd be interested to know what millage you get with it. When's your new book out?
