Administrivia: MIME attachments

Just a quick reminder that this list is currently holding anything it thinks looks like a MIME attachment for approval, so you should sign/ enclose inline if you must. This dates back to the moron who sent an advert as a large attachment a few months ago. Any problems, as ever, to alug-owner(a)stu.uea.ac.uk (which ought to outlive me...)

Assuming people can read this message, can we have a stab at discussing the next (physical) meeting of the group? Can anyone point me at the best reference on how to do virtual host mailboxes, ie anything@name-that-is-a-cname-to-my-host is forwarded to another address, on sendmail 8.9.x? Thanks, MJR

Fujitsu and Sony announced Crusoe Notebook

Morning from Japan This morning Fujitsu and Sony both announced the release of the notebooks that uses Transmeta's Crusoe CPU. Of which, many of you are more interested in Sony's Vaio C1. Sony Vaio C1 comes with Windows ME, 128Mb SDRAM (x1), 12Gb HD, 8.9 inch Ultra Wide XGA 1024x480 TFT, 56kbps moden, and the rest of Sony stuff. They uses Crusoe TM 5600 600MHz on 100Mhz system clock, so it's kinda fine I guess. The machines lasts 5.5 hours on small battery, 11 hours on large one, and 20 hours on real large one (rofl!) Disappointing about this performance? The first sales at Akihabara - Tokyo's Eletronic Town - comes on 7th October. People predict the price of 230,000 yen - GBP 1,500.00, without 5% Consumption Tax. Fujitsu one's almost the same expect it comes with DVD but TM 5600 540Mhz. And the price's the same.
