I hear some distributions put a default route in on the internal
network which is wrong wrong wrong. Sorry I can't remember what
distribution you're using, so I can't advise how to fix it
permanently, but you could try using the "route" command to delete any
route on the internal network.

It should just work, but why is there a gateway if this is the ppp
machine... ie, is there another network beyond 10.10.10.1?
