This isn't strictly Linux, but I thought people might be interested in it. There is an Apache event planned for: Conference: October 23-25 2000 Exhibition: October 24-25 2000 Olympia Conference Centre London, UK It is going to cover a load of stuff (over 60 sessions) including: Security & Ecommerce Securing Apache on Unix and Windows Java, PHP, Perl, TCL, Python, XML, XSL Performance, load balancing and case studies Apache installation, compilation, configuration scripting languages and dynamic content (mod_perl, mod_php, mod_jserv, ASP) Tips for writing Apache modules More information is supposed to be available at http://www.apachecon.com/2000/EU/, but the piece of paper I have in front of me has more information on it currently. Playing Music

Thanks to everyone who suggested ideas for playing music now the problem is mp3's , I know my music is working but I am having problems with X11amp to play my mp3 i downloaded I know it's downloaded o.k I can add it in the list in X11amp but not listen to it. Are there any other good simple MP3 players individuals can recommend for Redhat 6.0 using Gnome or KDE Finally I have never managed to workout mounting my floppy drive. PPP: ping/dns OK but no FTP/telnet...

RE this problem (hmm about an eon ago due to a broken modem...) I found the solution on the RHA support web forum. Go to /etc/ppp/options and add novj novjccomp in there. Works fine now. Currently using linuxconf, with a masq 'gateway' working. Next step is using wvdial (so it redials when busy) and then dial-on-demand. Nice. Getting Music to work in Linux

Being quite new to Linux can anyone help me I'm wanting to get music to work in Linux but have not got a good idea of how to do it.
