PPC Linux stuff for use on a Tivo

Hi, Does anybody know of a small Linux distro that will run on PPC processors? I only need small sections from it like gcc and perl. Reason being, I have a Tivo and I want to add some more functions to it, eg get it to generate a web page that tells me what it's recorded. Re.Poster: sorry a bit patchy, I'm not much good at that kind of stuff. Plus I'm in a hurry after being bored for ages - I sit here helplessly month after month having various "upgrades" done to my computer whether I want them or not....from win95 to Win98 to WinME, then Office 97 up to Office2000 which has just been installed and so far i am unable to administer my own database and it all seems to be operating at the speed of a slug. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. The installation has a GUI like a 5yr old's rendition of cubism. Needless to say we have a winNT server, which needless to say crashes on a regular basis. The word "linux" brings a sneer to the lips of the administrators, however, and I have to conduct my experiments in a furtive corner of my office. Rant over, back to work (if I can get anything to, that is...) Jen. PS.Glad u like cd, David. Turn up the bass.

(i'm sending this again as it was on HTMl format and it was blocked..sorry:--) Ipswich----->Norwich for Linux day on 29'th?? If someone still got space on their cars for a poor student i would be most gratefull :--) I can bring 2 CD fresh Mandrake 8.0, a 10/100 Nic, a 5 port 10BaseT hub, 2 x cables and a Elsa external 56K modem.
