Since Linuxday when Mandrake 7.2 was kindly installed for me, I have
re-installed it more than 20 times trying to get the ideal (for me)
combination. It was great to at last be able to install a distro myself
after all the one's I had tried in the past unsuccessfully! Included in
these was Mandrake 7.0, which I tried again to see if I could install
this, but the same result, installed ok, but couldn't boot back into
Linux. I wonder if it's just coincidence but 7.0 had Lilo only, whereas
7.2 has Grub and Lilo, Grub has worked for me every time, could this be
the reason? One query about 7.2, sometimes the menu, root dialog etc
comes up with the text about half-an-inch high! Why does this happen and
how can it be solved? Programs still work as usual correct size, but, of
course, having text that large is awkward!
Thanks
Terry
