Hi Folks
Installed RH7.2 on a clean 3.2Gig drive this morning and promptly went about
compiling a new kernel for a 586 CPU - Plugged the drive in to a P166 box
when I got home, and now the thing hangs at the "Freeing memory" stage.
Attempting to boot the old kernel just results in an instant reset, so I
can't use that option....
Short of wiping the disk and doing a fresh install, does anyone have some
suggestions ?
A boot floppy is out as there is no floppy on this machine and the RH CD
doesn't appear to have a rescue system on it.
Regards, Paul.
