Graphical 'diff' with proper X cut and paste

I'm looking for a graphical (GUI/X) diff command which allows proper X cut and paste. I've found xdiff (well, one of them, there are a couple) and mgdiff but neither allows one to select lines from the display and to paste them elsewhere. They both expect you're trying to merge the diff'ed files into an output file so the select actions only decide whether what you have selected goes into the output file or not. What I need to do is to be able to see differences between two files and paste them into a third file which is (probably) open in a different window. I can't find a diff utility which allows me to do this. Does anyone have any recommendations? It needs to be fairly 'generic unix' as I want it to run on a Solaris box. I'm quite happy to compile stuff but I'm not happy if the program needs lots of specialist libraries. -- Chris Green (chris(a)areti.co.uk)

Logo idea

As you may know, the original logo artwork went missing a while ago and we've been using a hasty mockup since. Keith has produced some redesigns which have been used on stickers etc. I've just had an idea for a cool logo: Tux, wearing armour, riding an armoured GNU, carrying a pennant that says GNU/Linux. PLC programming in Linux

Has anyone here ever had any experience with using Linux to program a Programmable Logic Controller or similar device? If so, what software did you use and for which make of PLC? I've just spent a very unfruitful afternoon Googling for some clues: so far, nothing! Thanks for any hints, Gerald.

Firstly, I'd like to say Hi to everyone, I've been signed up for a while but never said anything - wanted to get an idea of what goes on first.. Just wondering if there is a meeting in Lynn on the 28th? (A simple yes/no please my poor little brain can't handle anything more). Windows/DOS emulators for Linux

I'm looking for something that will run Windows/DOS command line utilities under Linux. Is there anything other than WINE nowadays? I only need command line, it's to run a collection of 68000 assembler, linker and build programs.
