I've just bought my wife a new phone, a Nokia C6 and want to make sure
that everything is off the old phone, a Nokia N95.
If I hook them both up to the machine and run lsusb, I see this :-
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub
Bus 002 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub
Bus 002 Device 005: ID 0421:032b Nokia Mobile Phones < - C6
Bus 003 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
Bus 004 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
Bus 004 Device 002: ID 0510:0032 Sejin Electron, Inc.
Bus 005 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
Bus 005 Device 002: ID 1a7c:0068
Bus 005 Device 003: ID 041e:4052 Creative Technology, Ltd Live! Cam Vista IM
Bus 006 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
Bus 007 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
Bus 008 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
Bus 008 Device 004: ID 0421:04f0 Nokia Mobile Phones < N95
But how do I see what's on them?
My wife tells me that there are some important messages and pictures on
the N95 which she doesn't want to lose. Using her Windows XP laptop, I
did a backup of the 95 and Nokia PC Suite said that it had transferred
everything over but we can't see those pictures anywhere on the C6.
I did think that I could run a dd command to make an image of the phone
and its associated memory card. The card is less of a problem as I can
take that out of the phone and catalogue in a reader, assuming I have
one for a MicroSD card. but the phone is not allowing me to talk to it
so any help appreciated.
