Since I spent only £50 on my brand new laser printer I am reluctant to pay more than that for a new toner cartridge. So, surfing the net I came across toner refils at a mere £15. Anyone tried them; are they any good?
Not entirely certain, if the quality of the refill toner is as good as that it is replacing then there should be no problems, and you must take into account that you will only be able to refill the cartridge perhaps 2 or 3 times as (AIUI) laser toner carts have a waste trap for toner that has gone onto the roller and been heated up which will eventually fill up and stop you from using the refilled cartridge anymore.
Didn't know that, but even 2 refills at £16 is a significant improvement on £100 for two cartridges.
Oh, and the cheapest toner refills I have found in the .uk so far are http://www.consumablecafe.co.uk/ which seem to have good words written about them on usenet.
That's definitely the cheapest I've seen for my particular printer by a large margin. Thanks.
