Hi Folks, One for the attic-hoarders amongst you!
I need a replacement for one of those old keyboards with the fat (pre-PS2) connector (I forget what their proper name is).
Alternatively, if there's an adaptor that would allow a PS2 keyboard to be plugged in to the ancient socket in the back of the case, then that might do the job.
Lindy sell one cheaper than Maplin and do next day delivery. Even at Maplin you will be lucky to find one in a hurry.
How do I know ? By strange coincidence I found myself in a similar situation the other day with a Windows 3.1 (erk) computer that had the programming software for a clients ancient PABX on it.
I couldn't wait as this was a bit of an emergency so resorted to horrible bodgery (hint, electrically they are the same, PS/2 supports some extended features but is electrically compatible with AT) so I just chopped the wire of an old PS/2 KB and did a paperclip job on the AT DIN connector.
