[ALUG] New member/subscriber

I just saw your information posting in the uk.linux newsgroup (at least I think it was there) and thought I'd come and see what you do here. I've been in computing professionally since 1970 so I've seen a few changes over the years! :-) Currently I'm a C/C++/Java programmer with a company in Ipswich. I live at Newbourne out in the sticks (where there's no ADSL). I'm a Unix/Linux junkie, have been since the 1980s. My desktop machine at work is a Sun Solaris box but is soon to be changed to a PC running RedHat. At home I have a Slackware 9.1 'server' machine that runs all the time.
