Is it just me or is Firefox's printing rather broken?
When I print a web page from Firefox I rarely get to see ethe whole page printed on the printer. If it's really small (i.e. fits on a single sheet) it's OK but otherwise it's useless.
For example I'm currently trying to print out some instructions for loadspeaker repair. They are at:- http://www.audiofriends.nl/refoaming/
When I print this from firefox what I get is a sheet of paper with the headings on it (and nothing else), then a second sheet with the first part of the document and then two blank sheets. Firefox seems incapable of printing one web page on multiple sheets.
I would suggest that this problem is an issue with your printer settings (presuming your using CUPS) OR your firefox <-> printer deamon settings [cups] (in firefox) - in my experience, Firefox is perfectly capable of producing single and multiple page output to the printer service.
Unfortunatly, as with most things that tie into the local system, Firefox's system ties into the local OS through its API's, and the settings for those API connections are not always suitable for each machine.
[Saving the planet section] By playing with the CUPS output printer, you could set your output to being to a ps or pcl or similar file, which means you can test different settings without spamming the printer lots and wasting paper.
Good luck JT
