Mine is 60.91 after the Frontpage extensions running on a Debian box went haywire. We have now mounted the dump of 'top' on our wall as a record of the momentous occasion. Make sure you monitor, shtml.exe on any machine running FP to ensure it doesn't go tits up.
not sure what the load average was, but a few years ago I was playing quake2 with a few friends, they got a bit anoyed that I kept fragging them, so, somebody telneted to my machine, setenv DISPLAY hismachine:0, then he wrote a simple script, basically while 1, quake2 !!!!
in about 2 seconds there were 15 quake2 windows on his display and my machine started to swap like mad!!! at this point I reliased somethign was up (my version of quake froze!).. we are not sure how many version were running, the script was run for about 45 seconds, I guess it was close to the 100 mark. Anyway, the offending person hit control-c to kill the script, about an hour and 15 minutes later my machine stopped swapping!!!! quake2 unfroze and the machine carried on as if nothing had happened. the machine wasn't rebooted and it stayed up for the next few weeks until I had to reboot ;)..
show me a M$ box that can do that ;).... Sz
Ruddy Microsoft crud :(
