Most likely, your question wasn't precise enough (seen ESR's paper about "smart questions"?) and no-one likes their graphics card so much they'd recommend it for everything. For example, of the three I have here now, the ageing Riva128 works relatively reliably but occasionally gets in a pickle over DPMS, the on-board SiS can be convinced to work well but is nothing special, the on-board Nvidia in the newest machine is absolutely terrible and crashes X sometimes when DPMS kicks in. I think the i810 in an old office machine was competent once drivers were available for it (but I had it before that *sigh*), but I've not been really happy with a video card since a Cirrus that was my first colour card many many years ago.
