I also recently acquired an SGI Indy, so welcome! Unfortunately mine comes sans-monitor, so its only use so far has been so I can cannibalise a SCSI cable.... planning on trying out linux on it at some point... when I can think of a cunning way to get linux on there....
Anyway... on to your question... doesn't gcc run on irix?, or do you specifically need the MIPSpro compiler?
