ITCS can provide temporary access for visitors at conferences etc., which could be what you want. When I worked at the BA Festival last year there was a simple process involving username/password being signed out to a user; no idea what the innards were.
They're not anti-Linux as far as my experience goes, but maybe that's because I haven't had any problems - apart from the newsystem mess-up last year, of course.
