Speaking of commercial support, I've certainly not come across somebody speficially supporting other distributions other than Red Hat. For example, does anybody know of any commercial Linux packages that will provide technical support for Debian or even Mandrake users?
What do you mean "commercial Linux packages"? If you mean packages of commercial software for Linux, then I don't care personally, but that's why we have the LSB etc, isn't it? If you mean commercial GNU/Linux support packages, then I can think of a company offering it ;-)
ummm, maybe you didn't know but the Redhat 7.3 CD .isos are *not* gpl, they are trying to do nasty things to restrict people selling them on cheap. Although user groups are still allowed to distribute them. The situation is not clear atm, but I was told this on good authority the other day. Go and look at http://www.linuxemporium.co.uk and try and work out why there is no mention of 7.3 on cheap CDs and why the Redhat name has a (R) logo after it.....
